Re-designing restful experiences

Khloe used to be a social service practitioner

A restful experience do not have to be packed to the brim and it is not tiring. With Forest Therapy or nature inspired activities, one is invited to enter a realm where there is no need to rush. There is space - for one to be fully present with all of their senses and rest.

Khloe used to be a social service practitioner and aspires to change how experiences are designed for the community. It does not always have to be the fastest, fullest and we do not view participants as needy. We welcome them as who they are, like how nature always welcome all of us.

Hear from participants:

Thank you, i remember climbing trees in the past! this is just like my childhood kampung days”.

“I hardly have time to sit down and talk with my friends, today was really enjoyable.

“This has been the longest my husband and i went without fighting with one another!

“Thank you for seeing us as us.”

“Tonight, i can sleep very well”

"As a caregiver, it’s easy to forget that you, too, need a moment to breathe and restore."

Respite Care for Caregivers

“Caregivers also need rest.”

A caregiver shared during one of the closing circles of an experience i held. This stayed in my heart even till today. This picture is an artwork done by a group of caregivers and they named it “Sanctuary”. The forest therapy experience allowed them to find a sanctuary where they have brief moments of deep rest.

The weight they carry each day, can sometimes be so heavy that they forget about themselves. That they are human and need to rest too.

We aim to provide 1-1/ small group experiences for caregivers to have respite. For individuals, informal support groups and SSAs.
