Brave Space

A Forest Therapy Experience

“In the forest, we re-member that we are part of something much larger than ourselves. Forest therapy guides us back into relationships: to the earth, to each other, and to our own hearts.”

— Khloe Teo, Slow Forest Days

Why Brave Space?

It is not for me or anyone to tell you how “safe” an experience is. Only you can decide. It takes courage to choose to live life differently - to slow down, to rest and to listen to our hearts and body. Every experience curated is a brave space held for you to meet - yourself.

Everything is invitational

There is no right or wrong way to experience forest therapy. Everything is invitational and we invite you to lean inwards, choosing to do what feels comfortable for you in the moment. We are all very unique individuals who have different lived experiences and hence will experience things differently.

The Forest is the therapist

As your forest therapy guide, i simply hold the space and open the doors for you to experience nature and all of yourselves. I am not a healer, “fixer” or therapist and do not hold any expectations for any experience.

About the experience:

  • Gentle guided invitations

  • Slow Wandering

  • Choice-based

  • Sharing Circles

  • Tea + Closing Circle

Forest Therapy is not about the distance covered or identifying animals, floral and fauna. It is an immersive, sensorial experience where we are lesser in our head spaces and more with our body and heart spaces.

What is Forest Therapy?

M. Amos Clifford, founder of ANFT (Association of Nature and Forest Therapy) was deeply inspired by the Japanese practice of Forest Bathing, also known as Shinrin-Yoku and developed the framework for Forest Therapy.

Forest Therapy takes on a relational and heart-based approach and focuses on rebuilding relationships with ourselves, other beings and the more-than-human world. It is the practice of slowing down in nature and immersing ourselves in natural elements.

The experiences are Brave Spaces held by a certified guide who uses gentle invitations for one to experience themselves, others and nature. An ANFT guide is trained to guide with a standard sequence developed by the association to awaken our senses. However, every guide has their own lived experiences and every guide will bring their own richness to the walks.

No two walks are ever the same, like how nature is different every other moment.

“The Forest is the therapist, the guides open the door .”

Private and other Rest and Nature Connection Experiences

Private Forest Therapy experiences can be curated both for 1-1 or groups/teams.

We also curate other experiences that invites one/group to slow down and rest. Some examples are integrating our expertise in Art and Yoga Nidra. Experiences can be indoor/outdoors. Knowing your intentions will help us design an experience that your heart is seeking. Fill in the form to request for a deck with more information.
